Sketched on location late last year with Urban Sketchers Auckland. It was a blisteringly sunny day so the key to my sketch was finding some shade with a sketchable view.
This enormous Dragon Tree did the trick — I could happily sketch the view over the lake and rock garden with it's collection of arid climate plants such as the large cactus in the centre of the sketch.
